KINGS coverage
animations
During the 2023-24 Season, I created animations to serve as visual notifications of our game's events. With the energy from our fans (and Will Ferrell) these animations served to celebrate our team on social.

PROCESS:
Using the Toolkit created by our internal creative team, I built out wheatpaste poster walls within Photoshop.
From there, I layered those compositions in After Effects to set the scene.
By moving a camera around a 3D space, I created unique renders from contrasting movements.
Other details such as a low frame rate, peeled stickers (puppet tool), and moving shadows sell the composition further.
These animations engaged our social media audience, alerted them of important game moments, and celebrated victories.
More animations from this project can be found on the LA Kings social media page from the 2023-24 season.
